Wildlife

I didn’t get much work done yesterday. I’m pretty good at wasting time, but I was also distracted by the ants that kept appearing on my table at the library. And on my computer. And on my arm. Until I located the source, which was the remains of someone else’s lunch in a nearby trashcan, I kept thinking, nah, there’s only one or two, I’ll just smoosh these and that will be the end of it. Except it never is, with ants, is it.

Because we’re talking wildlife, here is “sta nell’ircana” from Alcina, sung by Maite Beaumont. (It’s about a tiger. I couldn’t think of any arias about ants. If anyone can, I want to hear about it.)
