Gratuitous Friday – Röschmann sings Händel

I’m going to borrow a page out of Regie or Not Regie‘s book: Gratuitous Friday!

Sort of fun to hear her singing in English – there’s only one other example I have come across, also Handel, of which this is an excerpt:

The bearded man behind her looks like he really wishes he didn’t have the camera on him all the time.

    1. That does sound annoying. (I was having the same problem recently, or a very similar one. My work computer would not play videos. But before I fixed the problem I got a lot more work done – funny how that works.)

  1. Good morning! I am sincerely flattered. And I was sincerely confused by my email notice of your post. I thought you’d left a comment on one of MY posts. (I am easily confused!)

I keep almost buying this Messiah. I like Paul McCreesh’s work with his Gabrielli Consort, and…um…I am kind of fond of Frau Röschmann. 🙂 But do I really need a 7th or 8th (or 10th) Messiah? Yeah, probably.

Oh, and thanks for the plug! Happy Gratuitous Friday!
