It would break the interwebz. LikeLike 🙂 🙂 (does that say Eugene OREGON?) LikeLike I’ve been to Eugene, Oregon LikeLike It does! I’ve been to Eugene, Oregon too – never with a Rosenkavalier, though. LikeLike Also I hope the person who used the search term “big coc” to reach my blog enjoyed the podcast. LikeLike I wonder how many careless typers end up disappointed that the podcast is about opera? LikeLike How about with two boys? Once I joined the Oregon Historical Society by accident when I mis-typed “organ” LikeLike I used to get teased by easterners in college because my pronunciation of “Oregon” sounds almost exactly like “organ.” (They said it “Orey-gone” like “octagon” or “polygon.” Viva la regional variation, I guess!) LikeLike We have a VP who’s last name is Sawka which is pronounced just like a New Englander saying “soccer”. At least that’s how I remember it. LikeLike We like to mispronounce Nevada, too, and get our revenge for correction by having the same place names in every state. LikeLike And then there is the great “is it NEW Haven or New HAVEN” debate. I got corrected on that by a Connecticutian? person from Connecticut once, but I can’t remember which one she told me was right. LikeLike It depends on context and more particularly on what scans better in the line. LikeLike Comments are closed.
