Party Time!

Due to what I suppose is best described as a mild failure of the principle of separation of church and state, I get the day off today. (Although it is a public institution the university is closed for Good Friday.) What to do?

I think we’re going to go with sleep, Richard Hofstadter on the paranoid style in American politics, and John Adams (Doctor Atomic John Adams, not the other one). Probably in that order.

  1. The Christians of Rens-wijk Officialdom are on their own, which is only fair (otherwise they’d have to give us the High Holy Days, Diwali, Ramadan, Tet, etc, etc). But I foresee a great ordering of lunch from Ted’s Fish Fry.
