But does it even mean anything?

I googled Barbara Frittoli just now, because I’m watching a bootleg video of Verdi’s Falstaff, and she’s in it, and I wanted to make sure I knew which singer she was. Despite having heard her at the Met twice (as Vitellia and as Elisabeth in Don Carlos) I would not, previous to this google, have been able to recognize her in a lineup – I had a sense that she had reddish brown hair, but that was about all.

What I got was this:

frittoli google And I thought it’s a bummer for her that one of the first things that comes up was “wobble.” So I decided to see if google was as cruel to others as it is to her. Turns out no, for the most part, except if you’re Anna Netrebko.Screen Shot 2013-10-12 at 3.28.09 PM Screen Shot 2013-10-12 at 3.27.52 PM Screen Shot 2013-10-12 at 3.36.28 PM
